The Raisa Maximovna Club The Raisa Maximovna Club was set up in March 1997 by Raisa Gorbachev. The Club is an opportunity for informal contacts and open discussions between all those who are concerned with the role of women in contemporary Russia, the problems faced by the most vulnerable sections of society: children and senior citizens. It is open to all those who want women's voice to be heeded. The Club not only holds meetings of its members but also runs public discussions, academic and practical conferences, renders charity and sponsor support. Project The Wife of the USSR President. The aim of the Project is to collect and systematize the documents and facts related to the activities of the President's late wife in the field of representation, cultural enlightenment, humanitarian and charity efforts, as well as her autobiographical notes and entries from diaries, presentations, interviews, and letters. The Project's materials made the core of the book Raisa. Reminiscences. Diaries. Interviews. Telegrams. The presentation took place on September 18, 2000, at a Function in Memory of Raisa Gorbachev. |
